Christie Clark

Christie is originally from Maryland’s Eastern Shore, but has called Brooklyn home since 2010. Before joining Marcy, Christie spent over a decade in teacher education—teaching and coaching new teachers through their first years in NYC classrooms. With a background in theatre and directing, she is also a teaching artist dedicated to amplifying the stories that emerge from her communities.

A first-generation college graduate, Christie traces her family’s roots to Appalachia, Minnesota, and many places in between—a perspective that informs her belief in education as a bridge to opportunity and belonging. As a Program Manager at The Marcy Lab School, Christie designs and leads learning experiences—from leadership seminars to mindfulness practices—that help Fellows build self-awareness, communication, and career readiness as they grow into curious, confident, and community-minded software engineers.

Outside of Marcy, she loves seeing and making theatre, riding her bike, crafting, reading, and exploring the city with her partner, Molly, and two dogs, Ollie and Harvey.
