Laura Rouse-Hoyle

Laura’s childhood was spent between New Jersey and North Carolina but now calls Brooklyn, NY home. Starting out as a Program Manager at The Marcy Lab School, Laura served as our Fellows’ coach, advisor, Leadership & Development seminar facilitator, mentor, therapist, and so much more. In her current role as Senior Manager of Career Placement, she has built upon all the work she did in our Fellowship program and now supports our most recent graduates by pouring into their continued professional development and helping them navigate their first professional job searches for incredible careers in tech. Prior to joining Marcy, she was the Associate Director for Academic and Career Success at Long Island University in Brooklyn. When Laura is not busy helping our Fellows become the best versions of themselves and reach their goals, she is usually taking a ballet or modern dance class somewhere in the city. We probably all hate to admit it, but Laura has the best taste in music on the staff and can be found making the BEST playlist that probably features Frank Ocean, Tyler the Creator, Amy Winehouse, Adele, H.E.R., or James Vincent McMorrow.
